About me

- Silvia Martín-
I was born in Almería in 1984. I have been very passionate about children’s and juvenile books since I was a child. I used to handwrite stories which I illustrated myself and they helped me create my little library. Over the years, my mother gave me a typewriter and since then I have known writing would be an important part of my life.

As most teenagers, I spent some time far away from books. They "made" me read books I was not interested in and which were too distant from the type of literature I had always been fond of. It was then that I realized my profession would be focused on teaching and awakening a taste for reading.

I hold a degree in both Primary Education Teaching and Psychopedagogy. Currently, I work as a Primary teacher and I have been in charge of the library at my school for 9 years. Every day I try to bring my pupils closer to the pleasure of reading and to the discovery of a world full of adventures and extraordinary trips, just upon the opening of a book.
